Aggressive Words by Joseph Inter Da’ Poet Mabena

Aggressive words flattering to the ears
Words aggressive to the ear that hears
But soft and gentle to the heart
Harsh words that never mean to offend
But mend what’s broken to the location of the soul
Intimidating words that breeds calm and comfort to fear
Insulting words that brings a tear when it pierce a peaceful mind

Being cruel to be kind, some might say
Truth to the ear that is blind, some may say, when with words they play
The way to find your way, when you pray
The sons and daughters made of clay, this is hearsay
Parents made us out of love and when word they say
Attention we have to pay
Because words they speak will help you find your way
